A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

Living Minds are part owners of New York Dutch Lions FC where we offer aspiring female footballers a unique experience every year to play competitive football in the USA. For the 2025 season we will be competing in the USL W League and Women Premier Soccer League (WPSL).


Our primary focus is on your comprehensive development. This includes qualified coaching staff, access to top-tier training facilities, and the implementation of our proven training methods, game preparations, and performance evaluations. We also prioritize creating a positive and enjoyable experience, filled with lasting memories. Since our inaugural year in 2010, over 200 players from Europe have played for the Dutch Lions FC clubs in the USA, with more than 80 progressing to professional careers.

SEASON

For New York Dutch Lions, the 2025 season runs from the 2nd or 3rd week of May to the 1st or 2nd week of July, depending on the League and Conference. In case of play-offs, the season can continue for another 1-2 weeks. Our teams usually have between 25 and 35 players on their roster. Depending on the League and Conference, every team plays between 10-14 games in the season and trains 3 to 4 times a week.

RECRUITMENT

For players residing in Asia and Oceania region, the recruitment process for the 2025 New York Dutch Lions season will be conducted primarily through online video submissions. We understand the distance and logistical challenges involved in international travel for try-outs, and this streamlined process allows us to assess talent efficiently.To be considered for a limited spot in the 2025 New York Dutch Lions training program, please submit the following to

  1. Player Profile: A comprehensive profile detailing your footballing experience, including:
  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Playing position(s)
  • Current club (if applicable)
  • Previous clubs and achievements
  • Any national team experience (youth or senior)
  • Height and weight
  • Contact information (email address, phone number)

2. Video Submission: A video showcasing your football skills and abilities. The video should:

  • Be no longer than 5 minutes in length.
  • Clearly display your technical skills (e.g., dribbling, passing, shooting, defending) and game awareness.
  • Ideally include footage from actual matches, highlighting your performance. If match footage isn’t available, training drills demonstrating your skills are acceptable.
  • Be of good quality and clearly visible.

Due to the limited number of spots available in the 2025 New York Dutch Lions program, only selected players will be contacted for the next stage of the recruitment process. Our coaching staff will carefully review all submissions.

FEE

To make sure we can provide a quality program, our clubs charge a training and playing fee and also provide housing opportunities for a fee. The fee also includes two sets of Dutch Lions FC gear that every player gets to keep and also food during matchdays. We train and play at some of the best facilities in the region and work with coaches that have a UEFA diploma and/or a background as a professional player.
